Merchant Verification — KYC & KYB
All merchants go through thorough verification during onboarding. Using a combination of automated tools and human review, Viva Pay confirms legal ownership, ongoing eligibility, and adherence to regulatory requirements across regions.
Secure Hosted Payment Pages & Tokenization
Sensitive payment information is never stored on Viva Pay systems. Payments are processed through secure hosted pages, and card data is tokenized to prevent exposure.
Third-Party PCI Level 1 Vault
All sensitive payment credentials are securely stored in a third-party PCI Level 1–certified vault. Encryption, tokenization, and controlled access ensure regulatory compliance and protect data integrity.
No Fund Holding
Viva Pay does not hold customer or merchant funds. This reduces operational and regulatory risk and keeps payment processing separate from fund custody.
AML & Sanctions Screening
Transactions are continuously monitored for compliance with anti-money laundering requirements, sanctions lists, and operational thresholds. Automated alerts and escalation mechanisms ensure regulatory alignment without disrupting legitimate payments.
Dynamic Merchant Profiling
Merchants are assessed continuously based on business type, transaction patterns, and behavior. Risk thresholds are dynamically adjusted to safeguard portfolio health while supporting legitimate transaction volume.
Compliance Note
Viva Pay secures payment data in a third-party PCI Level 1–certified vault. Merchants undergo KYC/KYB verification, and all transactions are continuously monitored for AML compliance. Viva Pay does not hold customer or merchant funds.
